| Description |
Camp volunteers 16 and older needed for the annual CANGRANDS kinship camp. CANGRANDS is grandparents (kinship caregivers) who are raising very special needs grandchildren. Camp is hosted in Ameliasburgh Volunteer training, daily peer support meetings and supervision ensures you feel supported and safe at all times. You must have current police check and we provide the paperwork for this to be free for you. You will be assigned a group of 2-5 children (ages 2 to 12) to help out with. Each group will attend a set up program were you help the children complete their tasks/games and encourage and support them. You will eat meals with us and all volunteers share dorm style cabins. (females with other females and men with men). You will be given a certificate of 70 to 100 hours plus a nice thank you gift.
