| Description |
This position is responsible for greeting and welcoming participants to the facility • Respond to member inquiries in a friendly and welcoming manner • Present “housekeeping info” to participants/members, i.e. class times, hand out copies of schedules/program guides • Provide new members with a tour of the facility • Keep lobby area tidy • Deal professionally with other duties as assigned The complete description for this position is available on our website under the Volunteer Tab: www.ymcaofceo.ca How to get started Individuals interested in volunteering are asked to complete a Volunteer Application Form. You may also pick up a Volunteer Application Form at the Membership Desk. To ensure the volunteer experience is a rewarding for everyone, applicants will be contacted for an interview to discuss skills, experience, time commitment and training required for a successful experience. All YMCA staff and volunteers are asked to provide a current Criminal Reference Check (CRC). Volunteer opportunities are open to YMCA members over the age of sixteen. Potential volunteers under the age of sixteen are accepted if they are currently enrolled or have completed a YMCA leadership program such as an advanced aquatics course, Youth Leadership Corps, Babysitters Training, etc. |
