Volunteers are the heart and soul of our agency. Our programs are successful only because of our volunteers who faithfully deliver our services. Meals on Wheels is about more then the delivery of a meal. It is about the peace of mind that comes from knowing someone is looking out for you, and for some, it is about an essential security check and the only human interaction they may have in a day. |
| Description |
-Deliver hot or frozen meals to clients' doorsteps on weekdays 10:30am-12:30pm -Flexible schedule - once a week or once a month, we will be happy to find a schedule that works for you! -Must have your own vehicle -Must complete Police Background Check for the vulnerable sector ( we can help you with this at the office) Community Care for South Hastings is a non-profit agency for seniors and adults with physical disabilities. We provide programs and services that assist our clients to remain in their own homes with dignity and respect for as long as possible. Volunteers are the heart and soul of our agency. Our programs succeed because of our volunteers. |
| Training Details | Thorough orientation and ride-along with experienced driver are scheduled before individual shifts are assigned. |

| Time Detail | Hot Meals on Wheels Deliveries take place on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10:30am-12:30pm. Frozen Meals on Wheels Deliveries take place Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:30-11:30am. |
