Impact Statement By being apart of our Board of Directors, you are providing support to all of our youth of Quinte West by ensuring we continue to meet our mission and strategic plan.
Description The Quinte West Youth Centre is a program of the Committee for Innovative Thinking for Youth and is located in Trenton Ontario. The Centre’s mission is “To a safe, inclusive and welcoming space dedicated to empowering the youth of Quinte West while providing opportunities for growth within each youth through need-based programming.” With a keen focus on youth between the ages of 10 and 18 years of age, the Centre provides a safe, supervised setting where youth can grow, learn and have fun, while also helping them to realize bright and successful futures. The Centre has evolved and adapted to meet the needs of the community youth and over its 11 years of operation, there has been significant positive impact on the lives of youth in Quinte West.

Currently, our Centre is implementing its new strategic plan to reflect its recent growth. Of course, with growth come many adjustments to policy, procedure and operations. This will take time and several dedicated people who are focused on excellence. At this time, we are happy to be expanding our team that will promote vision and functional contribution through the next 3 years. As such, we are currently seeking additional individuals to sit with our board of directors, and, who present with varying skill sets that complement our existing team. Most desirable skills currently: human resources, promotion/marketing, communications and legal. Other specific skills may also be considered.

The Committee for Innovative Thinking for Youth (Board of Directors) meets virtually every other monthly. Meetings have been held on the first Monday of the month at 4:00pm with a typical meeting taking approximately 1 ½ hrs. All new applicants are required to fill out an application. Selected applicants will be invited to meet with the Executive Director and Board Chair for interview.
