| Impact Statement |
Seeking volunteers to help with any or all aspects of gardening and maintenance at our local community garden. Activities/duties can include sowing, planting and weeding vegetable and flower beds. Harvesting and delivering produce to local organizations. Assisting with special events such as plant sale and Doors Open. Ideal for: individuals, newcomers, students (we will provide documentation of student hours) Areas of interest: gardening, outdoor yard maintenance, nature, food security. Timing: Very flexible. Typically volunteers spend 1-3hrs weekly during the growing season. Transportation: Bus route, own transportation. |

| Time Detail | Our work at the Garden commences in April with tending to seedlings in the greenhouse. We plant in May, and work continues with garden maintenance, weeding, watering, and harvesting, until the end of October when we have a final cleanup weekend. We also need volunteers to assist with special events such as our plant sale and Doors Open. |
