The Lifeshare Program connects adults and youth with developmental disabilities to caring individuals, couples, or families who can offer a safe and supportive home environment. As a Lifeshare Home Provider, you welcome someone into your home and life — offering not just a room, but a sense of family, stability, and belonging. Matches are based on mutual interests, compatibility, and shared values, creating meaningful relationships where everyone can thrive. Home Providers support daily routines, encourage independence, and help people build confidence and connections in their communities. Through Lifeshare, adults with developmental disabilities have the opportunity to live as independently as possible, while being active members of their communities as friends, volunteers, and neighbours. Since 1984, the program has promoted inclusion, safety, and personal growth — reminding us that sometimes, the greatest gift you can give is simply opening your door and your heart. Home Providers receive a daily per diem and a monthly room and board payment to help cover the cost of providing support, meals, and household expenses. |
