| Description |
Volunteer drivers who can support drives in the areas of Belleville and/or West of Belleville through to Cobourg or Port Hope are needed by Highland Shores Children’s Aid to assist staff and foster parents with the safe transportation of the children and adults served by the agency to locations where essential services are provided and no other means of access to the service is available. Monday thru Friday, morning, afternoon or evening with occasional weekend requests, but we are open and can work with each individual driver's availability. The Society pays volunteer drivers its current mileage rate for each kilometer travelled and covers incidental expenses. Drivers submit monthly statements so these costs can be reimbursed. |

TRAINING PROVIDED: - Orientation to the Society and the child welfare system. - Instruction on the installation and use of child safety seats. - Ongoing training relevant to the assignment. |
