Victims Services strives to meet the needs of victims, we aim to provide the most efficient support possible to those experiencing trauma in our communities. Our volunteers are essential in assisting victims of crime and/or tragedies through on-scene support. Volunteers provide necessary immediate crisis intervention, assessment, referrals, linkages and advocacy services, in order to lessen the impact of crime and trauma. |
| Description | Victim Services is provided by carefully selected and trained volunteers. These volunteers are on call to Emergency Services in Hastings, Prince Edward, Lennox & Addington Counties, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Volunteers provide on scene emotional and practical assistance and referrals to community agencies. All victims are treated with dignity, respect, compassion and empathy. |
