ROLE DESCRIPTION: We are seeking to recruit cafe volunteers to assist in the day to day running of Coffee on a Mission. Volunteers must have a positive and welcoming attitude, good communication skills and want to be part of an enthusiastic and motivated team. Experience is not required however any experience in catering or hospitality may be of benefit. Barista training will be provided to you to make and serve our range of coffees. DUTIES INCLUDE: Operating the cash system, this may include the collection of funds on behalf of JHS for programming purposes (court ordered donations and restitution payments). Assisting with ordering supplies, locally where possible. Serving customers in a pleasant and courteous manner. Cleaning the cafe area in accordance with Health and Safety Regulations. Undertaking preparation of the beverages served in the café. Serving ready-made soup and heating pre-prepared lunch items. Ensuring that the café is clean and tidy and creates a pleasant and welcoming environment. Reporting maintenance issues to the Coffee Shop Manager. Training and support of young staff may be part of the role. |

| Working Conditions | Shifts are flexible within Monday-Friday 7:30am to 1:30pm. Working while standing, light lifting (under 20lbs). |
