Impact Statement Volunteers are a critical component of what we do and through the help of hundreds of caring individuals, we are able to provide nutritious meals and snacks to thousands of students every day.

Student nutrition programs help students be engaged in their learning, experience a sense of belonging at school and develop healthy eating habits.
Description Depending on your interests, which ideally will include health and nutrition, and the school's needs, volunteer duties may include:
*Preparing and serving breakfast, lunch, and/or snacks to school aged children.
*Practicing safe food handling and maintaining clean workspaces.
*Assisting with food prep, setup, and clean-up.
*Supporting the site Food for Learning coordinator with purchasing healthy food.
Join our team to help ensure that students have the nourishment they need to learn.
The time commitment varies depending on your availability and the school that you are partnered with. There's something to suit everyone!
Time of day varies from school to school.

*Transportation is the responsibility of the volunteer.

Program operates Monday to Friday during months Sept to June. High school programs operate typically from 7:30am to 8:30am. Elementary school programs usually operate 8:30am to 9:30am. You can volunteer once a week or every school day - what ever will best suit your schedule.
Training Details Each school operates their programs a little differently from the others, each tailor made to suit the needs of their students. Training will be given on site through the program coordinator at the school.
Duration 7 - 12 months
Timing Weekday - Daytime
Time Detail Time of support will vary based on school volunteer is matched with. Volunteer commitment can be as little as 2 hours - It's completely based on your availability and interest. Every bit of help is deeply appreciated.
