| Description | Grief volunteers provide companioning 1:1 support to those mourning the loss of a loved one. Volunteers help hospice clients achieve a safe space to do their work of mourning, utilizing deep listening in a supportive role transitioning through grief toward healing. |
| Training Details | Volunteers are screened and provided 23-hour online training provided by Hospice Palliative Care Ontario. Additionally we use our grief guide for localized training. |
| Working Conditions | Grief volunteers support those dealing with mourning and bereavement in the client's home. |
