We deliver opportunities for individuals to be valued and contributing members of the community, supporting personal growth, healthy active living, and independence. In addition to on-site activities or external wellness and fitness programs, COED partners with local businesses and organizations to support activities that benefit the participants and the community. |
| Description |
We are currently looking for passionate individuals 18 and over with varying skill sets to help build, lead and promote the organization. Successful candidates will possess some or all of the following: * • Knowledge of marketing, crowd funding, business background (finance, IT, facilities) legal issues and/or human resources. • Non-Profit operations or non-profit board management experience. • Volunteer experience. • Proven written and intrapersonal communication skills. Board members will maintain an environment that fosters inclusion and advocacy, while working together to address policy development, future planning, community and public relations. The Board meets regularly on a monthly basis for 10 months of the year, with more frequent meetings as required. Each term is two years in duration, with the possibility of renewal. Attendance at meetings and preparation for meaningful discussion and decision making is expected. If you are able to commit to a few hours each month and would like to contribute to a dynamic team that inspires and encourages adults with developmental disabilities, we welcome you to apply.
