You CAN make a difference in the life of a child!
Description The Highland Shores Children’s Aid Society is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors elected from the community at large. The Board consists of up to 14 members each elected for 3-year terms and includes 2-year appointments from Alderville First Nation, Mohawks of the Bay of Quinte and The Children’s Foundation.

The Board meets 10 times a year to ensure that we are meeting our standards of service to children and families, and discusses programs and services, policy, and administrative issues. The Board also has two standing committees that each month 10 times a year and advisory committees that meet either monthly or quarterly.

If you are interested in joining our Board, you must first be a member of the organization. Board members are elected from our membership at the Annual General Meeting which is held each year in September or at times through the year when a vacancy arise.

If you are unable to commit to a three-year term on the Board, please consider joining for a one year term as a Community Member on our Service & Administration Committee. This is a great way to find out more about us!
